There is a significant
difference
between clueless --
which can be
fixed through
education --
and nasty
asshole
(which needs to be
stopped).
There are all manner
of
bigots and bullies
spewing
delusional
rationales.
Too lazy to win by
superiority
instead attempts to
get ahead
through
chicanery.
instead of these
pernicious oil pipelines,
why don't we use
pipelines to
bring water to arid
places?
you can't persuade a
person to release
an idea they are in
thrall to
you can talk with them
about it, ask
questions, relate with
kindness and interest,
and share your own
beliefs and how
you came to
them
over time dialog can
make a difference
to a formerly closed
mind.
As an introvert, I
feel
liberated by social
distancing,
enjoy the anonymity,
sense
of self-security, of
masking.
(Isn't it the noisy
extraverts
who cause all the
trouble?)
