a collective assumption

of undergirding rules for successful

living among other humans (morality)

 

 

Don’t you understand that people feel lied to

(because of the continual manipulation)

don’t know who or what to trust,

or how to trust.

 

 

Those who preach hate are

clear antithesis to those who preach

love, kindness.

Who follow our Messiah, who our AntiChrist?

or whatever metaphor your worldview prefers

 

 

I’ve read

men fear laughter,

women fear slaughter.

We all fear potential costs

of speaking truths

the angry herd doesn’t want to hear.

 

 

Outbursts ascribed to malicious intent

can on review be seen

as the rants of minds overwhelmed beyond

acceptable reason, expected self-regulation,

moderation.

Is our angry attitude toward those who

act inappropriately because we tend to believe

the story that their brains are broken --

See, they are by nature wrong – ?

But these brains are not broken, rather

valiantly working to survive

broken lives,

that could be any of us at some time.

What world would you want in place

at your time of need?
