wild and overwhelmed

Bathing in the cultural milieu to inform
what art I may have left.

It's not about abortion -- not really.
It's about the personhood
of the American woman.

Spread better information.  More solution
oriented, future looking.
How can we?, not Why aren’t they?

lack of civility, lack of recognition of the needs
and rights and responsibilities of civic life,
are the problem
Yes, people carry guns and harm none and
feel self-protected and that's fine. It's the
arrogant assholes who have to make their big
threats and statements about how people who are
concerned about their own and public safety ought
to be horribly murdered or otherwise destroyed.
It's those people marching, taking over the streets,
to spread their general disdain for their neighbors,
or their right to spread fear to make it clear
they are in charge

Unintended consequences
-- how our world is run

enough of this anything to get unwilling
Americans vaccinated -- get the vaccines
to all of the people in the world who want
them and those left will die off or find they
have natural immunity,
but the disease will get conquered

I have been seeing current events and attitudes
unfold in a kind of apocalyptic scape, diminishing
energies for a brave future when the very Earth
is becoming less and less reliable, along with
the political and social and economic traditions
we have come to depend on for consistency
and security.  The result is desperately suicidal.

Cynical scammers and the
pitiably ignorant they prey on.

Why is so much of our public discourse
taken over by middle school mean kids
who never grew up?

Winter nights can exude that sacred beauty,
so poignant and wild and overwhelming.
Cold breath waking primal life.
Gazing into the stars to welcome
the clear, icy surrounding of spirit.
Winter blessed.
