Too worn down to keep
up
with escalating
complexity.
It's not really about race, or
class,
or religion, is it? It's about
power --
dividing ourselves from each
other
so we can feel powerful, in charge
of
who gets what.
Why would a difference
of
shade of skin be more
important
than difference in hair color
,
eye color, size or shape? Just
one
more small trait that makes us
each
unique -- not enough for truly
foreign
The personal traits we really
need
to find are sane mind and
preponderance
of kindness.

It's the ambient mythology
that
keeps us bound to all these
stupid
practices, bad code.
Pinning malfeasance
on fantasy enemies
harder to disprove
Dangerous
self-expression
when authentic you is not
as
expected.
There are laws (selectively
enforced)
to quell tales certain folks dare
not
have told.
Warily watch what your words
project
-- remember we're never
alone,
our stories no longer our own,
or
protected.
Any desperate soldier of the
damned,
caught in delusion,
motivated by directed collective
rage,
could combust. Who of us in this
age
is safe?
Without a voice, what is my
choice?
I get that the human
self-appointed assholes
and idiots excuse all kinds of
horrendous
behavior because they carry this
myth of "race".
What I don't get is how this has
been allowed
if there are any actually
intelligent humans
to tell them to quit
it.
Or how people live with themselves
after doing
these horrendous things -- oh,
right, it's ok because
"they are different"
we with enough informed
imagination know
that public good will be paid for
(beyond the
actual good it does for us all) by
the advancements
created, productivity of healthy
workers, general
uplifting of economic opportunity
to the overall
receipts, and multipliers
