observe and explore

How about a political party of

the sane, the reasonable, the people
who want to engage in civil
discourse and do the work
to serve the People.

Why compromise in attempt
to gain approval from those
whose values you don't share?

Approval is not necessary for
reasonable cooperation, just that
all sides foresee something to gain.

We love to share our stories
as return gift to true interest.

Each our own hero
But real heroes
are humbly brave
caught up in what must be done.

Not cinematic theatrics,
bows to applauding crowd.
Running into the fire,
mindlessly mindful --
drawn by a momentary
necessity, thrown through eternity.
True heroes are as their moment
demands.
Each our own hero,
if our moment arrives.

The profit motive's results are
so often perverse.
What better motives might we
pursue?

The Obama era Teaparty movement,
a precursor to Trumpism, was helped
to catch on by the 2009 Stimulus,
which bailed out the banks, but not
the victimized people.

Observing over millennia
Saying what I see
to share and remind.

Random shots
The fire of venom
Why do we try to die
without cause or greater purpose?
Is it because we are taught
to want more than we can chew?

Explorations -- not declarations
nor destinations.

Feeling  feelings
Thinking thoughts
Seeing scenes from my life
Like a movie montage

Assuming moral superiority
while refusing to engage
Ignorance  Exhaustion
the sharp barrier of pain?

there are so many jobs we haven’t even
formed yet to bring us into the 21st Century
and repair what we have damaged,
replace what we have destroyed,
create better options and products and methods

what is it about taking umbrage at
supposed mocking by the educated "elite"
makes some people act politically woefully
against their own best interests and decency?
