The giants who guided your childhood
never taught you
the rules of reality,
instead filled
your head with cotton candy,
sweet and
sticky,
but
ultimately
deadly.
toWith attack so
ubiquitous
we must inured
ourselves
to
survive.
I know I carry
philosophical biases,
(and philosophy
for me is much more
than some being
theories, but the
architecture of
my mind)
habits of
categorizing and swaying,
yet naturally I
incline toward fairness
when untethered
from desire.
To fight back
against fear,
take your power
where you can
to improve the
situation,
not impede those
who already are.
What we know
untangles
layer by
layer
entwined with
time.
Flinging talking
points,
as if
intelligent speaking
would make you
seem uncool.
There are no
perfect people
therefore no
perfect reports.
For information
meaningful to you,
do your due
diligence to dig out
the facts and
essence.
There is no
going back to normal.
We are in
adaptation to our new
situation.
Don't look back --
adapt.
Not sorry for
but sorry that
people create
such horrors.
Not taking
responsibility for acts
I have no power
to allay -- just
expressing
profound sorrow
that we live
amidst such inhumanity.
Medicate with
mysterious chemicals
that mostly
don't work as we want
while adding new
irritants and agonies
because nobody
likes who your present as,
behaviors based
on habits made in ignorance
because no one
taught you better.
Teach and learn
with others who struggle
if you can
together find good moderators to inform.
since anyone can
claim anything in regard to what “scientists” said, I prefer to base my
understandings on logic and good sense – obviously blocking an airborne virus’
access to one’s nose and mouth, and blocking airborne viruses from our noses and
mouths to those of others is going to be effective in lessening transmission,
plus look at how well a culture of mask-wearing is working in many Asian
countries, plus look at how historically it helped to get beyond the 1918
Spanish Flu and other illnesses in other places – not to mention all the medical
professionals and studies that do indicate that it works
the Constitution
does not give a number for SC Justices but leaves all that to Congress (not
POTUS) -- "court packing" is not a governmental but a press invention to give a
negative connotation for what is just our US system of checks and balances,
Congress thus having this check against the Court
a thing with
socialism (and probably most isms) is they get defined and redefined and
redefined based on the biases of the speaker, so which "socialism" are you
referring to when you say you like or hate it?
people seem to
think that a POTUS can decree and fix anything -- I know, Trump, but what has he
actually fixed?
People: most of
this stuff is not in the powers of the President, more of it goes to Congress,
but much of it goes to us, the citizens, the workers, the stakeholders, so stop
insisting this or that from Biden and do your part.
