sad realizations

 



If you loved your country, you 

would treat her people better.




hating those who cause us 

intentional pain is an important 

human reaction to help us to avoid 

such people or enclose them -- hate 

for hate's sake, or for the sake of 

causing intentional pain to those 
who are not us, that's evil

I saw it happening
like a slow-moving trainwreck
too intensely overwhelming to block
-- didn't you?

I am always being told to care 

about others. Meanwhile, there are 

all these folks destroying vast 

numbers of lives, but, that's fine, when
they are potentially profiting.

I hear antisemitism is on the rise.
I have no reason to doubt that.
Anti everyoneism is on the rise.
Persecuting protesters against the
Gaza massacres as "antisemitism"
muddies the perception.  It leads me
to think:  is what they are decrying
antisemitism, or anti-genocide?

Watching the CNN story of Live Aid,
I imagined -- could such an event
be organized to take place IN Gaza,
live streamed, televised, throughout 

the world, to raise aid and awareness, 

shame the murderers?

There is no objective truth when 

we are speaking of human affairs.

Family is not what you expect it to,
want it to be.  Family is what it is,
your lesson in humanity, to do with
as you will.

Children are not, in general, stupid.
They are inexperienced.  In the vast
realm of experiences, aren't we all?
We do a serious disservice, insisting
they avoid strangers, yet not teaching
them how to meet, get to know,
successfully interact.  How could we
not be sowing loneliness?

The purpose of life is to live --
whatever that means to you.

Stop expecting what never existed 

to suddenly relent, because you 

want to believe in the possibility 

of connection.
There's naught to gain in blame 

of those who don't believe in you.

Nothing of note to say.  Just 

repetitions
and sad realizations.

As bad as their truths are, what 

wears me down
is the lying.

Ever more quickly, disastrously, 

destroying our planet, source of 

all resources/wealth, so very bad 

people gain ever greater power
to tell us all how our world may work (or not)
