bashing Democrats to our disadvantage

Part of the insane situation we are
dealing with now is the result of
stupid divisiveness, bashing
Democrats as if a monolith of
cowardice or even corruption.
Yes, there are elected members of
government that exhibit those faults,
not because they are Dems, but flawed
humans.  Rather than vent wrath like
a prejudiced fool, suggest alternatives;
discover who is out there doing clearly
what you believe they should, and
promote them, or run for something
yourself.


blaming "Democrats" a large and diverse
group, is no better than blaming:
gays, the poor, people of color, men, women,
children, the old, teens, social media, ...


Democrat bashing is playing into Trumpism.
I am not saying Dems don't do wrong.
-- we all do.
I am not saying we ought not criticize.
I am saying there is ever so much more to
vociferously criticize done by these current
Republican office holders, from which are
coming ever more oppressive existential
throat tightening. While that is the case,
why give them your added support by putting
down the opposing party, from which we need
more members voted in to have any chance
to counter the miscreants? Better to show all
the support we can for the Dems who are doing
what we need from them, or trying to, encourage
such behavior. No one is perfect (certainly not AI)
We all get things wrong. Concentrate on when they
get the good things done.


The people in public office were voted in by
the majority of people who voted in their
elections.


We do know of, see, many political
office holders who show courage, do
whatever they can, even creatively,
to effectively do the jobs they believe
they were elected for, serving the needs
of the people. These people you
complain of, who disappointingly
don’t act as we want from our
representative – who voted for them?
How were they elected?


Gov't officials at all levels exist who are doing
all they legally can to correct, solve, fight back
courageously, sometimes are jailed, beaten,
killed. How dare you berate "Democrats"
wholesale. Sure, point out specific incidents
of bad behavior, not forgetting to understand
where the greater dangers lie. Just be sure to
also thank, congratulate, empathize with all
these public servants working above and beyond
for our benefit.


What EXACTLY do you want those terrible
Democrats to do? How do you want them to
do that? What are you willing to do to make
that happen?


Biden was besieged from so many directions,
often paid for and propagated by Musk and
his tech buddies.  AI fortified disinformation,
social and other media tricks that make it
so onerous to sort out complex realities from
the easier to shovel shit.
We never even gave Harris a chance, despite
it being so horribly obvious that no matter her
faults, real or assumed, her Presidency would
be so much more beneficial to us, and the world
in general, than even the lesser criminality
and destruction most expected from Trump
and associates, based on previous experience.


Donald Trump was elected because Elon Musk
and other billionaire tech bros invested major
fortunes into disinformation campaigns on
airwaves, social media, wherever low information voters
(people doing their best to live their lives, without time
for politics) can be shown: "This Is What's Happening"
as if it were


Democrats may want to consider educating the
electorate -- not just about their candidates; about
our nation's blueprint of how our Democracy is
set up to work, how laws and policies happen,
what they can do, individually and in groups,
to impress their will on those who run.
