Part of the insane situation we are
dealing with now is the result of
stupid divisiveness, bashing
Democrats as if a monolith of
cowardice or even corruption.
Yes, there are elected members of
government that exhibit those faults,
not because they are Dems, but flawed
humans.  Rather than vent wrath like
a prejudiced fool, suggest alternatives;
discover who is out there doing clearly
what you believe they should, and
promote them, or run for something
yourself.


When a failed state falls into anarchy,
the liberated people are free to follow
whatever source of power they believe
is the strongest.  Violent might thus
becomes all of the law.


Structures can be put in place to overcome
the bad effects of human suckage.


I am not ashamed to admit that if I were
to learn that Donald Trump was suffering
a disabling or even potentially fatal
illness, I would hope for him to become
disabled enough to end his project of
making America fail.  Looking into my
heart, I am surprised to find I do not
actually wish him personally ill.  If
he were no longer acting against our
best interests, I feel no need to see him
suffer.
In regard to Joe Biden's cancer diagnosis,
I feel sad.  He generally seems a good man,
despite mistakes, flaws, cases where we 
have different values.  I don't blame Biden
for the Gaza atrocities, their own Netanyahu.
As POTUS for the whole nation, Biden was
in a quite difficult position.  Not believing,
as Trump clearly does, in unilateral POTUS
power, respectful of checks and balances,
understanding the terrible divisiveness he
is required to contend with does not lessen
his responsibility to defend all of his
constituents.  He was raised, as many others
in government positions, in a time and place
in which Israel was considered our great Middle
East Democracy ally, and historic responsibility.
The myth portrayed in the movie Exodus, of Israel 
as courageously striving to survive onslaughts
of evil autocratic Moslem zealots, preserving
the hope of democratic turning of the region if
they prevail, had and has widespread advocates.
Today's project of Gaza destruction in retaliation
for the October 7 attacks, is not Biden's, nor
instigated by Biden's America.  Netanyahu,
the would be autocratic leader of Israel, has
clearly repeated that no one in the world has
the power to change his mind.
Condemnation by ever more, no matter how
loudly expressed, seems to make him laugh
imperiously, not show shame or fear.
These autocrats today, bullies embracing
cruelty in every imaginable situation, 
eschewing empathy as weakness, never
giving an inch lest they be misperceived as
reasonable men.
Biden was besieged from so many directions,
often paid for and propagated by Musk and
his tech buddies.  AI fortified disinformation,
social and other media tricks that make it
so onerous to sort out complex realities from
the easier to shovel shit.
We never even gave Harris a chance, despite
it being so horribly obvious that no matter her
faults, real or assumed, her Presidency would
be so much more beneficial to us, and the world
in general, than even the lesser criminality
and destruction most expected from Trump
and associates, based on previous experience.
Maybe this is all some Biblical End of Days
scenario we are caught up in.
